NEW YORK, NY (April 4, 2023) – Today, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) welcomed an executive leader to support new CEO Bonnie Barczykowski in carrying out the organization’s mission and move at the speed of the girl.
Effective immediately, Alexandra Traber McNamara has joined as Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer (CCCO). Alexandra brings decades of unique experience and expertise to help GSUSA aggressively advance its work supporting girls today and into the future.
“I am so thrilled to be welcoming this talented executive to the Girl Scouts family and to join me on our leadership team,” says Girl Scouts of the USA CEO Bonnie Barczykowski. “Alexandra will help the Girl Scouts propel into the future and continue to meet the needs of the modern girl. As we celebrate our 111th year, the Girl Scouts is honored to continue our legacy of providing life-changing experiences, mentorship, and programming and empower the current and future generation of girl leaders.
Alexandra will be responsible for driving growth and relevance by overseeing and developing the organization’s external/internal communications strategy, media relations, and government affairs (Public Policy & Advocacy). She brings professional experience from the White House, The Brunswick Group, and most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Global Communication at the Estee Lauder Companies. Her leadership roles have increased in responsibility across public affairs, press, and global communications. She holds a Master of Science from The London School of Economics and a BS from Georgetown University.
