Cisco Foundation
Cisco Foundation is collaborating with Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) to advance girls’ development in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Cisco Foundation will support building girls' confidence and competency in STEM, as well as teach them about the importance of STEM in today's society.
For more than a century, GSUSA has prepared girls to lead. According to the Girl Scout Research Institute study How Girl Scout STEM Programs Benefit Girls (PDF), 77 percent of girls say that, because of Girl Scouts, they’re considering a career in technology. Additionally, compared to other girls, girls who participate in Girl Scouts are more interested in exploring STEM activities and taking more STEM-related classes in school. Cisco Foundation is committed to supporting GSUSA as it prepares girls for a lifetime of leadership in STEM fields.

The Cisco Foundation was established in 1997 by a gift from Cisco. Cisco and the Cisco Foundation partner with nonprofits, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community-based organizations to carry out many Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
