The VF Foundation and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) have partnered to support the development of the Girl Scout Multicultural Family Camp Pilot Program. The program is designed to introduce girls and families of all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds to Girl Scout council camp programs consisting of challenging experiences, skill testing and building, and leadership building. GSUSA and the VF Foundation understand the importance of experiencing the outdoors and learning to appreciate nature, and especially understand the importance of making that experience accessible to girls and families of all communities. With the larger goal of increasing outdoor participation and access for all demographic groups and BIPOC communities, VF Foundation and GSUSA are committed to removing barriers that prevent any girl from experiencing camp.
The VF Foundation has previously supported Girl Scouts by sponsoring Girl Scouts Love State Parks in 2021. The event is an annual celebration of Girl Scouts love of the outdoors and natural resources in our state parks.
